Peeps
Peeps is a look at urban teens facing everyday struggles. Through
the use of hip hop dance, music, and rhyme, a group of high school friends
(peeps) express their frustrations about a world that does not understand
them.
Set in Los Angeles at an urban high school, a frustrated teacher fails an entire class for not making an effort to value their education; teaching is a career he cherishes.
At first the peeps retaliate. However, one fatherless student with a lot at stake endures a coming-of-age to communicate with his teacher. What he learns surprises him. He then convinces his friends to connect with their teacher in the way they know best, through the art of hip hop dance, music and rhyme.
Tha peeps dispel notions of teen apathy to come up with a new plan and a song to change the world they know for the better.
This is the face of youth now — intense, curious, and confused — looking back at you and asking, "Why?" in a language all your own. A coming-of-age shot on the streets of Hollywood.
